Mahasiswa Fisika Raih Penghargaan Indonesia International Internet of Things Olympiad 2023

Banda Aceh, 13 Juni  2023 – Tiga Mahasiswa Fisika Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Nurfirahuda, Muzakiah dan Yunita Fadhilah,  dengan sukses meraih penghargaan  “Silver Medal ”  pada kegiatan “Indonesia International Internet of Things Olympiad 2023″ yang diselenggarakan 13 – 17 Juni 2023 di Gedung AAC Dayan Dawood, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK).

Sebanyak 13 negara turut ambil bagian, baik daring maupun luring dalam  ajang kompetisi dan kolaborasi internasional tersebut. Adapun ke-13 negara tersebut adalah  Iran, Filipina, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Afrika Selatan, Turkey, Indonesia, Meksiko, Bangladesh, Timor Leste, Uni Emirat Arab dan Azerbaijan.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Kewirausahaan USK, Prof Mustanir dalam sambutannya mengucapkan “rasa bangga dan terima kasih karena telah diberi kepercayaan oleh International Youth Scientist Association (IYSA) menjadi tuan rumah ajang internasional tersebut”.

Hasil evaluasi Dewan Juri (desk evaluation) untuk katagori “IOT in Healtcare”. Nurfirahuda, Muzakiah dan Yunita Fadhilah mendapat perhatian khusus para juri terhadap ide kreatif dan inovasi mereka dalam mengaplikasikan teknologi internet of thing (IOT) dalam bidang  kesehatan.

Dalam pengembangan teknologi tersebut, tiga mahasiswa Fisika USK dibimbing langsung oleh salah satu dosen Fisika USK, sekaligus sebagai ketua Pusat STEM USK, Dr. Irwandi, S,Si., M.Si.

Adapun judul project mereka  adalah “Utilization of IMAGy ( IoT based MEMS for acceleration and Gyroscope) for remote Diagnosis of Body Movement Disorder (Ataxia)”. Movement Disorder atau gangguan gerak didefinisikan sebagai gangguan pada sistem saraf yang ditandai dengan kelebihan (hiperkinesia) atau kekurangan (hipokinesia) gerakan sukarela atau otomatis, yang tidak berhubungan dengan kelemahan atau kelenturan (tremor).

Dengan pengaplikasian sensor berbasis IOT tersebut,  memungkinkan bagi tenaga medis untuk memonitor pasien tremor  dari jarak jauh.

Penghargaan Tingkat International ini membuktikan bahwa mahasiswa Fisika USK bukan hanya memiliki keahlian dalam sains fisika, namun lebih dari itu juga memiliki keampuan  dalam menerapkan teknologi komputasi dan elektronika.

    When I look at your website in Ie, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some
    overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
